Research facilities

Fleuren & Nooijen BV is designing and building recirculation aquaculture systems (RAS) for a wide variety of fish species and purposes.

The principle behind this type of culture systems is that water, energy and land use is limited and fish production is controlled and predictable. These characteristics are an absolute benefit in aquatic research facilities.

Fleuren & Nooijen BV offers a wide variety of design solutions for complete research facilities for zebrafish, carp, fathead minnow and even Xenopus. Our goal is to design research facilities with the researchers. Only in this way we can deliver the right solution.

In our specialized workshop our staff is capable to translate the designs to well operating installations.

We already built research facilities for f.e. the University of Leiden and Hubrecht Institute in Utrecht in the Netherlands, but also abroad, at the University of Namur, Belgium and the University of Bern, Switzerland.
